My teenager was provided the Nike Air MVP Pro cleats by his high school and wore them all last season. They never caused blisters or anything, but all along he has complained to me that they "weren't comfortable." For the fall season I ordered these New Balance cleats. He has worn them in one game...please note that he is a catcher, so he did a lot of squatting and is probably more conscious of how the cleats feel compared to an outfielder who stands upright all the time....and he REALLY LIKES THEM. He said they need a bit more breaking in, but they are more comfortable (cushioned) than the Nikes. He normally wears a size 11.5 shoe, but ordered size 12 cleats. This is my son's second pair of NB cleats and they are fantastic. No achy foot issues like he had with other brands. (I bought those sports inserts for these cleats and he declined to put them in.) Wide feet? Automatically think NewBalance. No other cleat compares. And we have tried them. He has a rubber cleat pair and this metal pair....both are great. After decades of rubber cleats I wanted to try metal to reduce the slipping around in the batters box. It worked. Foot plant and turn now better in pushing off the sometimes too-wet or too-dry ground in the batter's box. Literally better hitting performance from these including more home runs.Shoe was fine but need a 1/2 size larger Had to return was going to order the bigger size but can't find the MB4040 for the price that I earlier paid for themNot the typical reason to buy baseball cleats, but I got these to help me keep from slipping while mowing because my backyard has a steep slope and the fescue is very slippery at times. They fit true to size for me and are comfortable. I can't review in terms of using them to play baseball though.I bought these shoes for my 11 year old son. Sizing is accurate. Very light and comfortable. He loves the shoes. Has only worn them twice but the quality appears pretty darn good. Overall no complaints. My son is picky about comfort and appearence...so far he says they are very comfortable.I am satisfied. But I am curious about transfort fee. It is said if it is over 35 $ itis unnessesary to psy it. But I paid.both of my boys love these cleats.....i took off a star as my older son recently commented that the mesh in the tongue area allows dirt to get to socks so the top of his socks are quite dirty - not that I ever noticed less dirty baseball socks before
