What a great, well-written, wonderfully illustrated book about times in sports that no longer exist. Reading these stories takes me back to the good old days in sports, when seasons were shorter, salaries for professionals were not enough to keep them from working second jobs in the off-season, and when modesty and true teamwork were the hallmarks of sport. And reading the story of the 1946 Army-Navy game helped me remember the real meaning of the word "hero". This book gets my highest recommendation.
