I bought this bat from cricket merchant and used it for a couple of practice sessions. The bat came pre-knocked by the seller with a protective scuff sheet. First time when i bounced the ball, it was clear that this bat is not a grade 1 or grade 2 english willow. It is probably grade 3 or 4 with minor blemishes on the bat face. An inside edge in a practice sessions results in a chunk of wood falling apart from the bat. Quality of this bat is highly questionable and so is the shock absorption. Even with an additional grip i can feel pronounced vibrations (when u make contact with a full toss ball) in my bottom hand.I have used SS Professional and SS Matrix cricket bats as well. They are very good cricket bats. You don't feel the vibrations that easily and have a good ping as well.SS orange is an average product and it's a good buy for beginners. This bat is probably worth $100 or less. Definitely not more than that.
