**DeMarini 2016 CF8 Youth Baseball Bat - Lightweight, Durable & High Performance (Black/Gold/White) - Perfect for Little League, Training & Competitive Play**

Not quite sure about this bat yet. It will probably be pretty good, but needs to be broken in. We have probably hit 300 balls off it, and not broke in. Starting to pop in some spots. Not sure if it will fly as far as the mako did. We do like DeMarini products and hope it will live up to its expectations.I bought this bat the summer last year to replace Mako 2015 -11 but it was disappointed that I couldn't find any clue that this bat has pop as much as the Mako bat. Anyhow I have made my 10years old son to use this bat time to time for almost one year and surely more than 1000 balls were batted with this bat but still the bat clear is not as good as his old Mako bat. My son hit a couple of home runs with this bat but he believed in this bat is worse than his Mako bat.Weight of my son's this bat (2 1/4in, 30 in, -11) is 21.4 oz. I understand that many composite bats are much heavier than its official weight. However, the weight of my son's CF zen (2 3/4in, 30 in, -10) is also 21.4 oz and it is too much. Also this bat is more end loaded than other bats apparently end loaded like Mako xl. Obviously swing is heavier than those bats.Durability is acceptable.My son is playing on a travel baseball team and needed USSSA 1.15 bat since his old bat broke during batting practice. This was the closest that I could find that matched his old bat. The season starts in a few weeks and we will see how it goes.This bat lacks pop compared to the equivalent size 31/20 MAko. It is very durable. We use the CF8 for batting practice and the Mako for games because the Mako cracks with moderate to heavy use. But the MAko has way more pop for game timeAfter reviewing the 2016 Mako and this CF8, I purchased the CF8. My son has only used it a couple times in practice as it is not yet baseball season here. He said he loves it though. He is 5'-4" and I purchased the 31/20.Nice Bat!!Bat never had any pop my 10 year old son has a good swing and ball just seem to fall like if he bunt the ballGreat bat. Swings well and overall very light and pretty savage for the price
