My son used a 30" Easton the last two years, but he wanted to switch to a different brand at the end of the last season. We did and his hitting suffered greatly. Even when he hit the ball, it sounded funny and didn't "pop". After about a month of that I broke down and bought the 2014 31" S3 and immediately he started hitting better. I don't really know for sure if it was a mental thing my son was having or if the bat really made that much of a difference, but I couldn't be happier with my purchase!Great bat for my 11 year old. The ball has a nice pop off the bat. One last spoil before moving up to BBCOR bats that act like a wooden bats... no extra pop... gotta use more power. My son is swinging good with this bat and is in no way a power hitter. He can clear the infield with a line drive. Before a solid hit would bounce pretty good for a base hit, but he improved with bat speed from his previous -13 that was slightly lighter.Great bat! Makes solid contact with a huge sweet spot. My son got a few base hits that may have been foul tips had they been on a skinnier bat. The length is a little short for my Pinto (7-8 yr old) division son, but light enough for him to wield. The shorter length caused a few too many strikes for my liking, but that's a sizing issue (my fault). Quality vs. price is a comfortable balance. I'd recommend this for a stronger 5-7 yr old player.Muy buen material y muy buen productoits a bat. as easton, or the aluminum alloy type and thickness, my son is doing no better with this than his old bat.. i cant say any of those made a difference. My son loves the one piece and hit well with it, but it dents too easily. I've had to return multiple times, and finally had to settle for a more expensive composite.Great Bat... Bought it in February and have used it ever since... It actually became our team bat... So in 4+ months has about 3 seasons of work... Will buy again but bigger size and not for teamWe live it. Great pop even outside if the sweet spot.
