I just received this in the mail last night. It's taken several weeks to arrive from China (I didn't realize it was not available on prime).Amazon doesn't even realize that it's arrived at my address and shows it as "out for delivery." Interesting. I left it in it's shipping packaging overnight as I know from experience that guitars should be left in their case for several hours when exposed to cold. So I took the same precautions with this just in case. I slept with it next to me.A little about me: I am a professional multi-instrumentalist and play more than flutes or winds. I have played second chair flute at college level (not university). I play concert and alto flute. Not piccolo, so this is not my strength by any means. This piccolo plays well right out of the box without a setup. I would imagine if you are a piccolo player and have your tech do a good setup on this it would play amazing. Without piccolo chops I can easily play over two octaves on this. Out of the box.It gets a good woody tone. It seems to be made out of good quality materials. Obviously it's not a wood / resin pearl or yamaha but it reminds me of those. It has a wood grain pattern. There are absolutely no markings on it whatsoever. No model numbers etc. It makes me think this company manufactures mid-level instruments for larger reputable companies. A search of the seller reveals they sell a lot of parts for band instruments. This leads me to believe they provide parts etc to large popular companies and that this piccolo is sold under a name brand in Europe or elsewhere. You simply cannot go wrong for $150 for this instrument. If you are a high school, college, or professional and want a backup or something you can march this piccolo will shine. I'm surprised more buyers have not purchased it?
