Over $100 cheaper than going to Dunhams, My son is recently transitioning to travel ball and this is the perfect that it increases force and he’s now able to hit the ball into the outfield close to home runs prior to he was hitting consistently through second and third but this bag gave him a new level to his gameGreat bat, but my son still sucks. If you are looking for a 1-piece aluminum USSSA bat, this is a very good option worthy of your consideration. The overall construction and feel is great. The swing is balanced and the bat has really nice pop and a large sweet spot. While you may be able to find a more expensive 2-piece composite that performs slightly better, this is a solid option if you're not looking to spend that much money, want a bat that can be used in the batting cage without cracking it, or need something for use in colder weather when composite bats shouldn't be used. This brand has been around as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, it was the standard bat we’d use in Little League and at school during PE. And I think when I have kids, Easton will still be around as the go-to name for baseball gear. I ordered the 31” drop 10 model and couldn’t be happier. I know this is on the shorter end for an adult, but it feels quite comfortable in my hands. The weight is perfect and the grip right out of the box has just enough cushion. I know I’ll end up re-wrapping it from time to time, but I’m impressed at where the grip is starting off.I’ve taken it out a few times to the park and hit some balls with friends and I can say that this bat has some great pop! Be prepared to scuff up the paint job quickly, but that’s just the breaking-in process we all know and love.My only pet peeve with this bat (and just about every other bat that’s ever been made) is the obnoxious gigantic branding on the barrel. We get it. It’s an Easton bat. I prefer the less-is-more approach. And besides, you’ve already got my money, so why do I need to be a walking advertisement for your business? But I digress…This is a fantastic quality bat for a teen or adult of a certain height. Love the yellow/black/gray color scheme. Can highly recommend!I primarily picked up this bat for my 12U son to use in the cage and during practice in order to save his Marucci Cat9, that he got this season and has enjoyed so far. That being said, this Easton Alpha is HOT....he's been using in live pitching and absolutely smashing the ball to the point the coach asked if it's shaved. Maybe it's him and practice is paying off, maybe it's the bat but it's probably 50/50. It seems like the sweet spot is bigger than his 2-piece composite because he's consistently making very solid contact. He's grabbing this bat over the more expensive Marucci at every chance. I'm waiting for him to have a longer hitting lesson so he can directly compare the two back and forth. But that being said, this bat is over-performing our expectations and it's very impressive for an alloy bat in the $250 range. The Good:-Hot out of the wrapper-Good grip-Durable-Looks great-Good vibration reductionThe Bad:-NoneThe Bottom Line:This Easton ALX bat is a nice alloy bat which is more durable than composite bats. They are also cheaper. This bat has a large sweet spot and has good vibration reduction for being alloy. Our kid has a 30” drop 10 and he really likes it. It’s a good team bat since it’s a more durable alloy. Overall, I would recommend this ALX alloy bat for its durability and large sweet spot.Lightweight, durable, good contact area, nice updated graphics, and a comfortable grip round out this 2022 offering from Easton. A leader in the industry for many decades in the US for bats and baseball related equipment. Solid dampening to vibration with this particular alloy design. Cant really lose with Easton. Can handle youth baseballer abuse without any problems.
