Upgraded to a little longer and heavier bat at the midpoint of the season. Prior to using this bat he was a singles hitter with occasional doubles power. By season's end, he has hit 10 HR's, moved to 5th in the order hitting ropes to the gaps. Don't get me wrong, he has to put a good swing on the ball and all that. We have the same coaching and playing similar talent but getting a heavier bat that can reach the outside part of the plate has made a huge difference. My son plays 12U this year and started with a drop 10 bat. Knowing next year he had to switch to a heavier bat, we got it for him early so he can use it all next year as well. If you are wondering, get your son the heavier bat now. They will adjust quickly and see results. Upgrading from a drop 10 to a drop 8 was huge. We may jump early again and get a u14 bat (drop 5) for 13U next year. This bat has held up to travel, tourneys and 12U All-Stars and several teammates trying it. A quality bat all the way around!
