When I got the blanket with the chilipad machine I was a skeptic at first. But I also wanted it to work soooo bad! I figured because the price was so high, just maybe their sure their product will deliver the goods. I didnt feel anything even thirty minute's after starting. I decided to give it more time (about an hour) and it felt a comfortable cool level but not at the 62 degree I set it at. I woke that first night only once around 5 am and noticed it was slightly warmer and checked the machine (cant really tell if its running or even on until you feel the coolness in the tube. I figured maybe I was doing something wrong! The next night the weather was cooler at about 65 degrees so I didn't sleep al the way under it. I set it at 72 and the weighted blanket felt very good. Slept beautifully! After the third night, I had assumed it was working fine and put it at the lowest temp because the weather turned back hot. Inside was like almost 80 degrees! I feel asleep and woke up two hours later sweating like crazy! I check the machine, hit the cooling button to see if it was still at 62 I believe, and it was. I found out later when I had time to exam it more, that the machine was on but the cold water was not circulating through the tubes anymore. I unplugged the machine and checked the hose connections, turned back on, nothing. I will say that the one night it did work I slept great. But it was also kind of cool anyway. So I really cant say the machine works. The concept is great, the packaging was lovely and done with care, but the product itself did not deliver. Can't understand why it cost so much either! There is no justifiable reason for the super high cost. That should be worth no more then $200 for the pad and machine or blanket! I would've been mad if it did this after the return date closed. I hope everyone buys insurance PLEASE!!!I bought this blanket because I was not getting good sleep, waking up too hot and then not able to get back to sleep. I've had this blanket for 2 weeks so far, and I LOVE it. I sleep SO much better. I didn't think it could work that well since it goes under the fitted sheet, but it really does. I'm still figuring out my "comfortable" number and it will change depending on how hot it is outside, even though we have central AC that keeps the house at the same temperature. Something I noticed - try to have the blanket completely on top of the mattress. It doesn't seem to circulate the water as well if any is hanging off.Updated Review - I’ve had my blanket for exactly 1 year and ordering another. The cooling machine started an occasional high-pitched wailing noise, always in the middle of the night. My husband cleaned it, took it apart and cleaned it, we’ve tried moving the unit to a carpet instead of tile floor....we tried everything. It doesn’t do it every night, but most nights. I’m addicted to the great sleep I get with it (when it’s not wailing), so I decided to buy another. Wish you could just buy the cooling unit. I didn’t need the whole blanket. It’s expensive and I think if you get a year out of it you are doing good (unfortunately not a lifetime product) but for me, it’s worth the sleep. It’s a sleep-saver but the quality and longevity of the product could be better, especially for the price.had to return the first blanket because the oller machine had a glitch but I ordered again because I really wanted this blanket. After two heat strokes that has left me struggling with a hypothalamus that no longer regulated my body temperatures very well and my minerals are always getting imbalanced, I decided to see if this blanket would help. After 11 days of use I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am with it. I use it differently than most people. I manually set mine and keep it at 62 degrees. Sometimes it goes up and down from there but seems to never go up or down more than 8 degrees... I’m very happy with this blanket.... now for some extra good news... I just purchased a chili pad from the chili company. They honor everything as Amazon does but right now they are giving a 20%discount on the chili pads. But wait.... there is even more good news .... they (chili technology) have come out with a PILLOW ? I got that too. I’ll do an update on those items once I get them. Hopefully by next Friday .... anyway I talked to a lovely Angel Lady there by the name of Shontel.... she was extra helpful....P.s. noooo I do not work for this company but I’m sure glad my God-Son introduced their technology to me. So far it’s a match made in heaven.Like New item had water in it and no original boxes. Usually this is listed in the condition. By new or risk the FBA shipping itUpdate - tried again BUT this time I went with the standard unit (not the ooli). Background, I've had a chilipad for over 7 years now. It still works. One of the units doesn't cool down as well as it used to which prompt me too look at the chiliblanket.So this one also went back. The blanket temperature stated 55⁰ but it's like the cover would absorb by heat and not give me the icy coolness like a chilipad. The weight and sleekness of the blanket was nice but I had to run both the chilipad and chiliblanket which is too much.I ended up getting a light blanket which was $15 and works perfectly with the chilipad (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B083TQ2D2V)I guess I know when I need to replace the pad, I'll just replace that and not the blanket. I may go ooli on that one too.It’s way way too heavy. Need the weight to transfer cooling or heating but couldn’t stand the weight.Heavy, but not as chilly as their other products like the chilled mattes cover that I highly recommendThis blanket works really well for actually cooling your bed, but it is very heavy - which I thought I would like. At first it appeared that it didn't work, but it just needed a software update that you have to do on the app (it's free). It literally didn't work at all, we installed the app on my phone, updated the blanket and it worked like a charm!This is a good blanket, but the cord is far too short to be of any use. It's not usable unless you have the unit at the foot of your bed, and that's not practical for us. I have the chili pad on another bed and it came with much longer cords. Not sure why they have short cords with the blanket, but be aware.I was so excited to get my blanket up and running, since I am so happy with my chilipad. This blanket is made for heating!! I have an overheating condition and this product is making it worse. It is not cool enough and all the layers of different materials makes my skin unable to breathe. It is going back, so sad it did not work..
