As of right now, I'm using two heavily discounted bats I've bought here on Amazon. One is a Rawlings Plasma 34/31, the other is this Mattingly 32/29. The main reason for the size differences for me is I'm a switch-hitter. My right-handed swing is a very short uppercut swing and the 34/31 is needed for it, left-handed swing is longer and not as quick so the lighter 32/29 gives me a better whip action left-handed. The quality of this bat far surpasses its price. It has a little better ping when making solid contact than the Plasma. My only complaint is in the V-Grip. It could be the structure of my hands or just not being used to, it leaves a slight red indention on the palm of each hand. I also am using it to see if my son can hit with the more proper hand grip the V-Grip promotes. Well worth the discounted price.
