1st impression was it looks cool.. i got it for my 6 year old (27/16 ) , 1st year of hard ball and after 1 practice i was impressed. Perfect size for him to transition to and surprisingly the bat had nice pop! It give that traditional ping sound vs the thud that most usa bats give nowadays.. He hit two of the furthest balls on the night. He said it felt good and it looks and feels well made.. my son is happy and being that i only spent $96 for it im very pleased as well. So far so good. Id recommend to any youngster making the leap from T-ball to kid pitch hard ball.Perfect for my 6 and 7 year olds. The barrel thickness was what they needed this past league. This review is for the Easton Elevate -11, as what is described. This is the bat I did receive. Some of the other reviews are showing other bats in photos. This bat is a great find for the price and my son is hitting really well with it. I am glad I upgraded from the 2 1/4 since the 2 5/8 is now allowed in Little League. Such a difference! It is hard to find bats that are -11 or -12 that are not outrageously priced. This one is a hidden gem.I bought this initially because it was a drop 11. My daughter likes a lighter bat. I figured for the price I would buy it and see if she liked it or not. She has ended up loving it and she has been really pleased with her hits this season. (For reference: she's 10 and playing minors.) If you are looking for a lighter bat with great performance I would definitely recommend this bat.We used this bat for exactly 1 season. My son is a small 8 year old playing in the machine pitch Rookie division. Another player on the team had the same bat in a 28" and it also was bent by the end of the season. Now we are dealing with Easton on a warranty claim. My son loves this bat for little league rookies!Great deal!My 8 year old son used this bat in 4 practices and it’s already dented. Spent the extra money hoping to prevent this from happening. Other than that, bat has good pop, and my son likes it. Will be sending back to Easton for a replacement. It's not the Easton Ghost X30,000,000,000,000 for $300.00 like everyone just so happens to afford these days somehow, but it's an excellent bat that you can buy 3 and a half of for the price of your "I make more money then you do" baseball bat.Buen bat a mi hijo le gusto.
