I wanted a baseball style beaked cap, wool for warmth, earflaps for extreme cold weather. This filled the bill, no pun intended. I just came in from an hour long walk in sub 20° weather with the windchill below zero and my head and ears were toasty. Earflaps fit perfectly and completely over the ears and do not affect the fit of the cap. On this hat they also cover the back of your head. As others have mentioned, measure your head as accurately as possible. I take a 7 3/4 American size hat and the 62 cm one fit me almost perfectly. If your measurement is between whole numbers, I would go up to the next cm. Some people would balk at the price-my wife did! However, I feel it's worth every penny. I purposely looked for loose stitching, loose threads, misaligned seams and I could find no fault with the worksmanship at all. And the materials are of the finest quality.
