This bat has a lot of pop if you hit the ball on the sweet spot. I bought one in 2020 when the bat first came out but unfortunately the bat didn’t last but a few months. My son was 11 at the time of the purchase. Amazon actually sent me a new replacement but again after a few months of use it broke again. If kid is using a USA bat and your son is on the stronger side I would recommend buying a different bat cause he will break it without a doubt.I keep reading all these reviews about the bat breaking after a few games but I think it's not the bat being damaged or fractured but instead it's confusion regarding the sound it produces. My 9 year old has used his bat for 3 weeks now and although it produces a weird sound on contact, it's not broken. That's just the sound it makes. Regarding pop or lack there of, I feel like it definitely has more pop. The bat weight is so balanced. A lot of these 2 5/8 bats are very top heavy. This bat is very good.The 2020 Rawling Quatro Pro is a very well balanced bat, my son is using it for his 9u travel team. He has the drop -12 29" 17oz, he bumped up from 27" Prodigy 16oz. 2" or reach without adding much weight. We initially broke the bat in with 200 tee and soft toss pitches, after the break-in period we're seeing some nice POP. I'd definitely recommend this bat, my only regret is that we didn't go with the 30-inch bat.My 7 year old is swinging a 29” 17 oz Quattro and loves it. The consistency and distance have both improved since the purchase. Was concerned about the “it breaks “ reputation it has but my son has 600+ swings on it and looks good.Bat was delivered on time and in good condition. Took few games to break in.. Now, It's got a great pop. My 11 year old loves the bat.This bat definitely has a lot of pop. My son plays travel and little league baseball so we are always struggling to find a good bat for little league. This is definitely it worth every penny the umpire in his game even asked to check it after my son hit with it!!!!QualityBuyer beware. Received about this afternoon, removed it from the box and noticed a rattle. After hitting a couple balls into the net no doubt this has something going on that it’s not supposed to. Looking at the other one star review seems to be a fairly common occurrence. Returning tomorrowI kept reading about "the sound of performance" and "that's what it's supposed to sound like" but to be honest this bat was never right. It's "glassy" and the handle seems heavier than the barrel which in itself appears fragile. For us the sound of performance (at training) turned out to be that of it cracking and during my son's second AB of the season it shattered. I'm not sure if they are all defective like this - But this was not good and with the bat being at the higher-end of the price point for LL bats it's very disappointing. The only upside for us is that it broke before the 30 day return period expired - I'd be livid if this happened a week later.
