My daughter had the cf7 for two years and was starting to outgrow it, we did not hesitate to buy the cf8. The DeMarini's have fantastic pop out of the wrapper and only get better with use. She loves the cf8 as much as her cf7. A well hit ball flies off the bat so much farther then any other bat she has used. Batting in 10u she had several home runs, triples and doubles with her cf series bats. Luckily we've never had a bat break, but unfortunately it does happen with any composite bat even when the bat is used correctly. I've seen it happen to the other brands also. It is important to know that a composite bat should not be used in temperatures below 60 and best to use it only with softballs, though she's used it even weighted balls and not had any issues. Demarini cf series was our first composite bat will continue to purchase and highly recommend.My daughter is an extremely advanced 10 yr old who pitches and bats 2nd for her 12u team. She has always been good offensively but since she started using this bat she's just been on a tear. Hitting almost .600 and the hits look like they come off the bat of a much bigger player. It isn't just confidence; the ball just comes off the bat much better and travels much farther. Lots of doubles that would have been singles before. Can't imagine what it will be like when she isn't always playing with the next age group up. The bat definitely makes a difference! This one is excellent!17 year old daughter got this bat for her birthday. Great pop right out of the package. First tournament hit a triple, with a 2 RBI to win game. Was on fire that weekend. She is a small frame and not built for power hitting but batted .667 that weekend with a triple and 2 doubles.My 18 year old daughter moved from the CF6 which she loved but it eventually loosened up to this bat. She says she "likes" it but has a much smaller sweet spot and less power. Her batting average in HS dropped 100 points with it. Same contact percentage but visibly less powerBat had great pop right out of the wrapper, but developed about a 3" crack with a triangular pattern after only five months of use. Bat was returned in December under warranty and the replacement bat was approved. Currently it is now mid January and the warranty replacement has still not been shipped (or produced). Have been given multiple ship dates by DeMarini for the bat to ship, but now it has been pushed out yet again to the end of the month. Retailers orders are shipping prior to the warranty replacements. This is a great bat, but be aware that if a warranty replacement is needed that you will be dropped to the bottom of the food chain in importance.Bought this bat for my my 13 year old daughter. I coach her fastpitch travel softball team and tell ALL my girls OLD BATS IN THE CAGES, DON'T LEAVE THEM OUTSIDE ON THE COLD, DON'T HIT RUBBER BALLS WITH THE BAT!!! We did ALL of that and after 14 months bat still cracked!!!! Totally disqusted!!! I contacted DeMarini and they simply said Its out of warranty... I will be informing my entire organization, over 15 teams DO NOT GET A DEMARINI BAT! PICS TO FOLLOW....My daughter loves this bat. She is a big fan of the pop from DeMarini bats and this was is perfectly size for her. Very good pop right out of the box.Purchased this bat for my daughter for Christmas. She just started using it and really liked it. She hit really well with it, but after about the 7th game, it broke in half. I sent it back to Demarini, but haven't heard if they will honor warranty yet or not.
