My son is 11 years old, during practice, he broke is his Easton Speed bat. His hitting coach said an 11 year old shouldn't be able to break a $300 bat. We started shopping around. In my searches, I somehow stumbled onto the True T2. My uncle built golf clubs for pro players so the name, True, rang a bell to me since the major golf club brand names used the True Temper shafts. I also knew of True Temper Sport's impact in the Hockey space making shafts for major brands like CCM. Long story short, we decided to give the True T2 a shot. Last night, my son's first at bat with the T2, trying to protect the plate on an 0-2, takes an outside pitch that he had to reach for and sends the ball 200 feet to the fence. He didn't even get the ball on the sweet spot of the bat but I believe because he is a strong kid and the bat is end-loaded, he was able to drive the ball. I can't wait to see what happens when he gets a juiced ball right down the pipe and he hits it on the sweet spot. Four Star rating is only because we have only seen the bat in action one time. I'm sure I will come back and add a star to this one. Great bat! Thank you True Diamond Science!- -UPDATE - -We just returned from the hitting cages. After about 100 swings, he is in love with this bat. This bat has got the pop! So I saw where a couple of reviews gave negative remarks for bat sting. Let me share with you how to resolve a lot of bat sting. Besides proper hitting mechanics, one hack I learned was to get some multi-purpose Close cell foam insulation or rubber tubbing, wrap the handle in it. Then put your grip tape (Vulcan or Lizard Skin) over the insulator. And then put a Grip-N-Rip Grip Taper on the bottom by the handle. No shock/vibration felt even when hitting the ball off of the end of the bat.Purchased this bat to be used during my son's Cal Ripken league baseball. This bat has performed amazingly well, with plenty of pop. Son loves it and so does half his team that uses it. Remember this bat is USA rated, not USSSA and not BBCOR. We use the 31".Bats great but Would of been nice if they sent the right size!!!This bat feels and performs just like the very expensive bats. my son loves it and has added 20-30 feet in distance.Recomendable al 100 % lo mejor de todo son las medidas, nadie tiene las medidas como True Temper Baseball !!!Update 8.19.21After a few months of real use, my son has stopped using this bat due to excessive vibration (stinging when now he does not want to use it anymore.All,My son love this bat and has plenty of pop. First time we used it, he was impressed on how it felt and how the ball exploded from barrel. I do recommended.We have been testing out many different higher end bats to see which bats have the best "pop" and sound...so far this bat rocks, balanced swing and hits far.Very disappointed for the price I paid.
